One of the races I do each year has to be run on road based tyres. For the last 4 years I have used R888 but have always felt those on other tyres seem to have more mid corner grip than me.

So my question is for a dry race track what will produce more grip / faster lap times, the Khumo V70a or the Pirelli Trofeo R?

Thanks

Mike

It depends on many factors. I've yet to come across a car on anything other than 888's or DZ03G's that I would say handles better than mine but I've come across many that handle worse because they set their pressures wrong for the bulk of the race.

I'd suggest Direzzas personally but everyone is going crazy over AR1s at the moment.

Seen some really nasty looking pictures of AR1's shedding their outer tread layer recently.

It's a different kettle of fish as I was hill climbing - but I could never get the things warm.

Just an observation. As you were smile

They do require a lap at least to get up to temperature - ideal for short races, not so for sprints and hill climbs.
