Does anyone know if the crotch strap date needs to match the rest of the harness dates, or as long as both are in date is it ok?

The harness straps have a 2019 expiry date and the crotch strap has a 2022 expiry due to it being a replacement.

Thanks

Nope - see K2.1.8 in the Blue Book:

“It is not permitted to mix parts of seat belts. Only complete sets as supplied by manufacturers are to be used”.

Thanks. All straps are sabelt and the replacement crotch strap was supplied by the same company so matches the original, it is just the dates that differs - does that make a difference?

You'll be fine for sprints and hillclimbs but will fail scrutineering for racing.

Each belt on my car is checked every time and they specifically look for consistancy. If you found the same model with the same year you might get away with it.

Thnaks all. Not worth the risk. Looks like it's a new harness.
