Can a championship rule change be made retrospectively?
Discussion
I'm an entrant and competitor in the Scottish Fiesta championship, based primarily at Knockhill.
We have one away trip, to Oulton Park, this season.
This away meeting was last weekend and, just prior, it was discovered that an error had been made in the preparation of the regulations - namely that the line which covered bonus points for the away rounds had been omitted.
The organising club tried, in the limited time available, to get written consent from all entrants to agree to a bulletin with an amendment but it was not possible.
My question is, would it still be possible to have a change made to the regulations and bonus points awarded after the event?

From my understanding it's very difficult to get a change to regs approved during the season unless the change regards safety. A club championship I'm involved in had an anomaly regards points pointed out to us by our clerk half way through last season. We got all registered drivers to agree to a clarification, but did not attempt to have the regs formally changed.

Non-safety reg changes require everyone to agree. So whilst it is possible, it is unlikely that people will agree to awarding bonus points to someone after they know who has got the (depending on how sporting they are!)
That's pretty much how I see things, thanks. The inference from the club was that we had to get agreement before the event, but I can't find anything that gives that specific requirement. Resistance from competitors could be a bigger issue than what the regs allow.
