who makes/fabricates under body braces (like this one)

anyone had an underbody brace made up for their car, ideally alloy but could be steel. Have found the one I want but no longer made so need to talk to someone in the UK who makes these things (at reasonable low cost)

Looks like it would be fairly easy to make.

But are you looking local, are you supplying the vehicle to build it on, is it a one off etc etc ?

I will give them the car to measure it all up, only want one made, its for a Swift Gti mk2 1300 cc screamer.

I would think anyone doing that as a one off would want the car there from start to finish.

Just search about for any exhaust fab places or roll cage type places nearby. They're scattered all over the country and any of them should be able to accommodate. There's bound to be one fairly local...wherever that may be.

Of course what you define as reasonable cost and what they think...might be very different. I can only imagine that piece in aluminium being for appearances, as it will add almost nothing structurally.

Whereabouts are you in the country? I know someone in Lightwater, Surrey who'd do a good job of that, but it probably wouldn't make sense if you are a long way away.
