leda suspension or others
Discussion
Hi, has anyone used leda since harvey bailey has taken them over? HBE seem to be busy with leda, just building custom units etc.
I'm looking for a good quality Strut conversion, exe-tc are just too expensive, gaz too unreliable in terms of matched dampers etc.
Any others I should be thinking of?
Cheers.

I have rang them today, lets see what they come back with.
Spoken to AST also, they seem very helpful, looks like a good system.
Intrax are also a very nice choice but the exchange rates are killing euro stuff.
Anyone used AST?
be very careful giving your money to the UK proprietor of AST. Do a google on him and 'kidnapp'Spoken to AST also, they seem very helpful, looks like a good system.

Not particularly reliable.
I recommend 'Ian Gardiner racing' he will make you what you want if you already have the dampers. He did mine. Converted, AST to AST coilovers inc ride height adjustment and a revalve on a Pug chassis leg. He may be able to source you a set of what you want if you don't already have them. Very recommended!

I've got AST's on my E30 race car and really rate them.
I had some very old gaz on before, swapping to the AST made a huge difference (although the latest gaz will be significantly better than I had)
I'm not going for gaz at all. Its seems it could be a lottery about what you actually get.I had some very old gaz on before, swapping to the AST made a huge difference (although the latest gaz will be significantly better than I had)

What car are they going on?
People I race with also rate the AVO's and a number of people are happy with the GAZ stuff but I think it's a case of someone has had the time and money to work with AST, AVO and Gaz to come up with a set up that works for our particular cars.

Generally speaking, dampers are like most things in that you get what you pay for. I've used AVO in the past and they're not bad for the price. I've also used BC's and would not do so again. It really depends on your budget.
Thats why BC's aren't even on the list.Ideally 500 a corner tops.
Dampers/springs/platforms. So a sensible budget?
