2017 24hr race
Discussion
Your best bet would be the Creventic Touring Car 24hr at Silverstone - http://www.touringcarenduranceseries.com/series/re... It isn't cheap though.
However if you want to go endurance racing and get far better value for money, then there are a few other options around - 2CV / C1 24hr for starters.

I did the Creventic 24 at Silverstone last year in a nearly standard Toyota GT86. We ran two cars with a total of 7 drivers, starting from 2nd- and 3rd-to-last and my car finished 4th in class, 26th overall. The other car 5th in class, 27th overall and we crossed the line together (albeit a lap apart). Best race experience of my life. I'm doing the race again next year. Creventic are really well organised - thoroughly recommended.

Looks great...So has this taken over from the Britcar 24hr race at Silverstone?
Shame the Silverstone round is so early in the year...
Yes, Britcar sold the race to Creventic a year or so ago.Shame the Silverstone round is so early in the year...
No GTs now, probably due to noise issues.
Other Creventic races abroad dont have the same restrictions.
A friend of mine (also one of my RoR team mates) races in this in a Civic http://www.24hseries.com/
The full series allows for GT's but it isn't cheap as others have said!

Creventic run two separate series - the Silverstone 24 is part of the shorter Touring Car Endurance Series which excludes GTs; their other series includes GTs.Other Creventic races abroad dont have the same restrictions.

For club level endurance racing, try this from the 750 motor club. Provisional 2017 calendar has just been released.
2 hour races at Donington, Snetterton, Silverstone and Spa with a 3 hour in to the night race at Anglesey.

Rule number one of going into any 24hr race is don't waste money building your own custom car for anything beyond the Citroen 2CV 24hrs!
The Silverstone 24hrs would be a great race to do now the GT cars have been dropped although I'd argue it is now more competitive than it has ever been because of it. If you want my advice and assuming you don't have money to burn I'd suggest you rent a seat and get organising with a team to make the best of it.
Don't underestimate cars like the Seat SupaCopas, they are allot faster and easier to drive than a Porsche Cayman.

It's the old adage, if you want to fly it, sail it, race it or f*** it, then you are better off renting it.If you want my advice and assuming you don't have money to burn I'd suggest you rent a seat and get organising with a team to make the best of it.

I could find you a drive in the 2cv 24hr if you're interested.Don't think they're easy,Phil Bennett didn't think so,Anthony Wilds is a huge fan ,Eugene O'Brien said they were more difficult to get a good lap out of than the Corvette he drove at Le Mans.Petrol Ted said he learnt more about car control in a weekend than anything else he had done.
