Kart seat in roadgoing hillclimb car

I looking to replace the passenger seat in my road going hillclimb car and i'm looking for something light. Blue book states that the passenger can be replaced by a trimmed competition seat, will a trimmed kart seat do?

I don't see why not. I know someone who's got Tillet kart seats in a Caterham and he dosn't appear to have any problems.

Yes it should be fine as long as it is not bare fibreglass / carbon.
