I like the idea the of sharing my car in one of the two driver series.
Which ones provide the best racing?
I'm about to finish my first season with CSCC and I've raced in their New Millenium, Modern Classics and Open races - and it's exactly how club motorsport should be operated in my opinion.Which ones provide the best racing?
Good time to £ ratio, well organised, timely concise comms, friendly people, common-sense regs, driving standards well policed, fair rotation and distribution of garages.
My car is in one of the lighter subscribed classes and the racing is still good as the grids are invariably full. This is aided by sensible combined grids - such as at Silverstone GP where 3 series ran together to form an impressive 60 car grid.
I've also heard good stuff about 750MC Roadsports too - but can't speak from personal experience.

Im planning on joining in at the end of the year with the welsh saloon and sports cars series at pembrey which is my home track in my mev exocet. Currently getting the turbo on with the new brakes and cage going to run it at various track and sprint days then later on sort out getting prepared for racing.
CSCC Modern Classics in a 3.2s Boxster next year for us. We entered CSCC Mag 7s this year, but the Westfield is rather heavier than its Caterham counterparts and so we're skipping Brands this weekend to prepare for next year instead.
This has been our first year racing with CSCC and it has been very friendly, decent rules & regs, has had a very good standard of racing and so the decision to stay albeit in a different series was an easy one.

"Best Racing"?
I think you probably need to define this more...
In terms of "close racing", I would recommend any single make championship with strict modifications. They consistently have the closest lap time and the closest racing, just look at the timesheets. The last race I did for the Clios had a 2s spread between 20+ racers.
If you like building cars and engines (with the associated costs) then CSCC, Roadsports and others are also great, but much larger lap time and speed differentials.

I've had some great close racing in the Elise Trophy (single class) but for the OP it's not 2 drivers - that's the more expensive Lotus Cup UK (multiple classes).
A mate is planning to do his ARDS ready for next year so was thinking of trying CSCC Modern Classics or 750 Roadsports if we share. I've visited them at different circuits and both had a good atmosphere - as a loiterer with a camera anyway.
