For any competitors at RoR 2015 thought you may be interested in this:

A group of us are going to hire Anglesey for a day of testing. We've been offered a decent price and this is NOT a money making venture. The cost price of the venue will be evenly split between all cars and we anticipate it costing similar to a track day if we get 20 cars.

If you're entered and fancy a day of proper testing (timing allowed of course) then drop me a line as I'm organising it.

Basic info:

Date to be either October 1st or 15th - this will be tbc once I've got an idea of interested parties
Full day testing on the International layout (what we'll be using at the race)
Open pit
Garages included
20 cars max
No sound limits
All drivers MUST have a minimum of Nat Race B licence

That's about it. The offer will be going out on the RoR twitter & facebook pages and first offer is to all teams booked into the race (45 teams) plus the reserve list (27 teams).

Cheers,

Ben

Shame the event has moved from the Coastal circuit, but I understand due to the fantastic amount of teams it would offer more suitable layout.

I would be in Ben, give me a shout when you have finalised the date.

Yup, we'll miss the corkscrew but the grid is packed. We've 45 teams confirmed and a waiting list of 27! 45 cars on track at one time would be total carnage on the Coastal, will take formidable concentration on the full International as it is. God knows how many overtakes there will be over the 1000km, probably tens of thousands!

Date now confirmed as Oct 1st. We have 7 cars confirmed already:

Shorsec Racing GT86 1
Shorsec Racing GT86 2
Shorsec Racing Westfield
Mission Motorsport/Jota 1
Mission Motorsport/Jota 2
TWP Racing Mazda (this is Jon Earp, MM founder and RoR organiser)
+ 1 more

DM me for details. By the looks of it we'll have the 20 cars needed over the next couple of days.

Have they really got a full grid for this with 27 in the waiting list? Shame I was looking to get a team together for this as it looked like a great even but if they already have 27 waiting it looks like a long shot. Or is it a bit like when Britcar advertise they have a full grid for the 24hr.
Either way if they have that many im going to make the trip over to watch it.

Mark, no comment on Britcar but yes, we have 45 deposits in and 27 reserve teams. In fact we've just had to turn away 2 full manufacturer works teams as they're too late. We had the 45 all squared away months ago too, before spring.

It's a superb event. Already confirmed for 2016 and we expect that grid to be full before Christmas this year smile

Yes indeed. John and the RLM team will be there again, and this time we're LIVE on Motors TV and radio which is a massive coup!
