Anyone fancy helping a racer at Rockingham tomorrow?
Discussion
Having endured a miserable DNS at Brands at the last CSCC New Millennium race (failed kill switch, couldn't get it fixed in time for quali), I'm hoping my car's first race in 5 years tomorrow will be more enjoyable.
As I'm travelling up to Rockingham on my own, would any kind soul be interested in offering their assistance at the pit stop? All I need is someone to help me do up my belts. As I understand it, a single driver is required to pit halfway in the 40 minute race, turn off the engine, step out of the car, shut the door, re-enter, do up his belts, restart and drive off. Sounds like a bit of a faff, but them's the rules.
Problem is I can't see belts and buckle through a full face helmet and HANS.
Would really appreciate a volunteer to strap me up! I have spare tickets if needed. The New Millennium quali is at 11am, race at 5:15pm.

Shame we are missing this race, not that I could help being in the same series.... Just ask around the paddock in the morning, someone is bound to help you out. By the way it is a pitstop "window" rather than half way so try to take advantage and pit at the best time. Best of luck, Brands must have been such a downer, great to see you coming back and hopefully we will be at Mallory.Lets just hope some TVR doesn't ruin your race!
I Hope it goes well. Just ask around in the Paddock, it's a friendly group and people will usually help. Also, have a word with David Smitheramd and / or Hugo Holder at Signing in (club officials), and Toby Harris (series coordinator) and they may be able to introduce you to people who,can help.
