12 Car Rallies close to Derby?
Discussion
Hi all,
I've been reading up about 12 car rallies and the sport looks like a decent amount of fun, especially whilst I save up some money to get into other areas of motorsport.
I had a quick search and I can't find any Derbyshire. Do you know of any 12 car, or general navigational, rallies that go on around Derby? I'm itching to have a go.
Failing this I may look into organising my own event, if any of you have experience doing this I'd appreciate some tips.

Most clubs probably don't market them as Rallies ,most police forces get a bit twitchy at the mention of the word rally
Night navigation exercise was the usual title , in my distant past .
Lots of fun ,a good test of skills ,some really evil minded course setters in some clubs . Reverse herringbone, circular herringbone ,reverse tulip plots and always a secret passage control if a short cut was obvious .

As mentioned earlier try Matlock motor club, or further west Knutsford. Loughborough do them too.
Lots of clubs run 12 cars and or navigational scatters.
Don't even think about organising your own, it's only legal if done through an MSA affiliated club.
Next step up from those are road rallies and navigational rallies. Kick energy, Dansport, 061 altratech. Jackson trophy all run in the Derbyshire area.

Edited to sort the spelling and add a link
