Tyre reccomendations

I am currently converting a 1969 911 from a track car to Tarmac rally car for use next year, and was wondering if anyone has any advice on tyres. Nearly all the regional events are held in the summer on closed public roads and I will be competing at "enthusiastic amateur" level next year, so have the winter to get the car just right ( I hope!)

Have you checked the regs, Russ? Make sure there isn't a specific tyre you need to use.

Silverstone S585 are well regarded, as are Dunlop CR311. I think both are available in an intermediate option too, better for smooth/rough/smooth type events.
