First race in Radical SR1 next weekend
Discussion
Hi all.
I am going to be starting my first race next weekend.
It's in the Radical Sr1 at Brands Hatch next Saturday June 7th
For those wizened and hardened racers out there, can you remember all the stuff you've got to think of and remember?
I've got a million things on my mind and am petrified that I'll forget something.
Have you got any pointers and words of wisdom please?
Ta muchly

It's a pretty well organised series and it's hard to go wrong really. I was really nervous in my first ever race (which was in a Radical) and was actually glad not to have friends and family around so I could just focus on me. Just make sure you are ready in plenty of time, somehow you always seem to get called a long time before you expect to be. But Amanda will make sure you don't get left behind!
In terms of the race, its pretty easy to stall at the start, so keep that in mind (ie not stalling). In the nerves and intensity of the first race, it's easy to get focussed on the cars around you, so don't forget to keep looking ahead.
If you suddenly find yourself going by cars, that probably means there is a yellow flag and you've missed it! Keep an eye out for yellows.
Have a great race day!

It's normally 7am sign on (may be able to do this on Friday depending on circuit).
7:30 scrutineering
8:00am briefing
8:40am get to assembly area
9:00am session starts.
That's it link to timetable this also tells you where everything is (scrutineering, sign on etc).7:30 scrutineering

You can usually sign on at end of Friday testing, so do that. You'll need your licence.
For scruitineering, have your suit, boots, helmet, gloves etc for inspection. Have your signing on ticket as well. Assuming OK then scruit will give you a scruitineering ticket - tape that to the car.
Don't forget drivers briefing.
On way to assembly area for qualifying will be a noise test.
