CSCC Spa Summer Classic
Discussion
I don't think there's a general thread for the Summer classic, so here it is
First time to Spa and I cannot wait.
No news from Roadbook.be yet on Thursday testing. I understand that it's pay on the day but does anyone have last years Thursday timetable ? trying to figure out what train to book to get there in reasonable time.

We're going in our 911 3.0 SC, I did it alone last year and it was awesome but this year my co-driver will be eligible too so will be double trouble.
I read in another post that there will be mandatory pit stops - is this correct as I don't recall this from last year and it is a long old lap...

The sessions are all open, mixed cars, Woof..........you just pay in race control for the session(s) you want, but beware, it has to be cash. No scrutineering required prior to going out.
Thanks Stuart for the heads up on cash (never have any normally)I think someone said the tracktime is pretty reasonable - 90euros for a session or something like that ?

Think it might be about £90 per session, rather than Euros, Woof, I know it has severely depleted my funds over the last few years doing 2 sessions each test day - but hey, you're on one of the best racing circuits in the world, and it's only money..........
Yep and they let you drive on the grass Edited by woof on Tuesday 13th May 16:50
Testing was split into groups. Closed wheel (A) and open wheel (B) and sessions were 55m long for closed wheel and 30 mins for single seaters, and they ran A, A, B, A, A, B, A, A. Group A was € 150 per session and single seaters were € 80 per session, paid in cash that morning.
Make sure your kit is up to date. The scruiteers are hot on it, and fire extingiushers. Although scruitineering isn't necessary for the testing.

I will be going again with my cameras.

That reminds me you owe me a quid from Snetterton! I really can't wait for this event either, its going to be the pinnacle of my race career for sure.... Not bothered about testing as its causing near divorce to get away let alone adding another night tomthe trip! looking at previous events there are lots of DNF's are they usually mechanicals ?I think someone said the tracktime is pretty reasonable - 90euros for a session or something like that ?
