Anyone know how the chap who had the crash at Copse in the 7's race is doing.
I saw the end of the crash, didn't look too bad from where I was, but suppose you never can tell...

I saw a medical helicopter leave the circuit.

frown ..?

There was an announcement at about 1730 that he was banged up but basically OK, which was a relief. I don't know anymore I'm afraid.

that's encouraging then.

We left before then, as we didn't even make the assembly area for our race, due to a faulty master cut-off...! irked

Have a look at my vid, if you look at about 16:00 - and watch out of my right side window you just see it crash into a white BMW, which red flagged the session.

Prior to that on the same lap on the run up from copse, it almost came to blows with a fast paced blue 928, that tried to pass on the grass.

Way, way, way to many cars on track to get a quick lap in...

Cheers JJ, thought it may have been in Qualy as no times or DNF for the races. Such a shame as the car was mint. Hope Richard is ok and the BMW driver.

The Westfield driver has a broken leg, some broken ribs and suffered a collapsed lung. He was airlifted out as a precaution and not because of anything immediately life threatening.

An Extract from the CSCC email about this -

'Those of you that were at Silverstone on Saturday are aware that there was an incident in the Magnificent Sevens race that resulted in the race being curtailed.
I am happy to inform you that both drivers are doing well. One is already at home and the other is expected home tomorrow.'

The rest goes on to say he's in good spirits and worried about his car..

cheers
