Not sure about ff1600 but AHS do A&D in the Formula Vee series. Can be found here... http://www.formulavee.co.uk/

Formula Vee are at Anglesey on August 4th & 5th.

There will be lots of teams that will rent ff1600 if I were you I would pop down to the first race at Oulton and ask around which will also allow you to see how good/bad their cars are. I would guess you are looking from about £750 plus entry fee

We (Advent Motorsport) have a couple of cars out in FF1600 this year on an A&D basis - speak to Andrew in the workshop and he can chat you through the options smile

Hi, I'm also interested in racing a single seater. The op did mention the northern ff and I'm in the south, is it still worth giving you guys a call or would I be better looking for a more local outfit for a and d? I'd be more happy testing a car I'm unfamiliar with at a track Im very familiar with like brands, donny or silverstone.

Thanks

Try kevin mills racing if you are in the south, they always used to have arrive and drive cars for the combe ff1600 championship

Try Mike Gardner at GTM, he runs race-winning cars in most FF1600 series. Based in Newark but runs cars anywhere (his cars won 2 rounds of the Champion of Brands last year).

My advice would be to make sure you have a deep pocket in case you damage car or engine as you will be expected to pay for it. Insurance never used to be worth it as the excess used to be the cost of replacing a corner on a FF1600 and it didn't cover the engine.

We might be able to run you in our 2007 Ray. It's quite a competitive car, having won loads of times at Oulton, winning the champ of Oulton series in 2010 and only raced a couple of times since 2010.

In its only club outing last year, won by 16 secs.
