I take that to mean they much much better then,I'm glad about that as I've just bought 8 of them for the coming season!!.....
Yes they are a superb tyre and i think they are a made on race carcass instead of just a road tyre with soft tread and are lighter too. From people who have used 888's a lot one of the biggest problems is that the side walls are quite weak and so you have to use extra pressure to try to get over the problem. They also go off a lot quicker than the dunlops.gtijohn70 said:
Hi Guys,
Got the tyres from Mr Tyres motorsport in Birmingham, very helpful guy called Dan.
Anyone know what pressures to run approxiamately? been on R8888's for years so Dunlops are new for us this year
On my e92 m3 i run them at 2,1 to 2.3 bar as recommended from a german company with a lot of race experience and they seem to be spot on.Got the tyres from Mr Tyres motorsport in Birmingham, very helpful guy called Dan.

Does any one know if the dunlops are road legal?
I know this doesn't answer your question, but whether legal or not, these tyres really aren't suitable for road use if for no other reason than road driving screws them up. They're so soft when compared to regular tyres, they pick up all the little bits of crap.I'm not sure how the lightweght cars fare on the road with them, but I certainly wouldn't recommend mid-weight cars (1000-1400kg) using them off track; if only due to the cost of replacement.

I was just wondering as its one of the criteria I have to meet for competing in a few autosolos. I¡¦d more than likely sling them in the boot and change on site, wouldn¡¦t want to run the risk of getting crud on them. Although saying that some autosolo tracks are covered in muck! ƒºI'm not sure how the lightweght cars fare on the road with them, but I certainly wouldn't recommend mid-weight cars (1000-1400kg) using them off track; if only due to the cost of replacement.
Came across this if any one is interested......
