Aiming to compete in the MSVR team trophy next year after a succesful (we still have a car) 1st season in the trackday trophy.
Race entry fee looks like going up from £325 to £400!. This is for a 30min qualy and 1hr race.
Interested to know how this compares with other series?
Hospitality is extra btw.

Come a lot to CSCC 290-350 race fee for 40 Kim race and 30 min quali, with driver changes or in/out with a single driver. Really fun series and some great tracks.

MR2 racing with Red Dragon is £285 for 15 minute quali and two 15 minute races. Similar for Nippon Challenge and cheaper if you do both.

The MA5DA Mx5 series costs £295 for 1x20 min quali and 2x20 min races so just shy of £5 per min track time.

Very competitive and you will always be racing against someone as there are so many cars on the grid.

Hi Dave, as you are a TVR bloke, I'm surprised your not showing an interest in the Dunlop TVR Challenge. Never fancied a crack at that?

I've always been curious as to the deal on this (we're interested in the Trackday Trophy but it looks like 2013 for us now)

What does the entry fee get through the gate? Just the car and the driver? Or does it include some 'hanger on' tickets?

Hi Dave
Seen the Tvr challenge racing a few times and looks a great series,
Only problem is we (me + mate) race an S1 Elise. Would love to move to a more powerful car/series but cost and skill may be factor.. Maybe in the future but think we're sticking to the TeamTrophy for 2012 .

just read your description on profile, sounds like me to a T smile congrats on 2010 btw

Entry fee gets us 6 season passes (2 drivers) for our races and entry for support/tow vehicle. Some circuits allowed 1 non essential vehicle but otherwise its the carpark.
Always had camping/caravan room included.
Extra hospitality ie/hotdrinks food seating tv etc is provided but is charged.

You have to factor in the sign up / registration fee. Generally £100 to £250 a season...unless you are a 14-16yo and want to do the Fiesta Juniors....£990 registration fee (so I was told by one of the dad's)
