I am thinking of buying a race truck but I am struggling finding some to insure it as I dont own a business so its just for personal use.

we used competition car insurance for the first couple of years we had ours. Think REIS may do it too.

Plenty of van insurance companies will do it

We had ours insured under competition car cover too, no problems.
Though we are now selling it so will be cancelling the insurance soon.
Let me know if you are after a 2 car transport truck/home!

Go cereful you don't exceed your weight limit. By the time youve put a hydraulic lift on the back. All your kit, a car and occupants. Etc you will be close if not over the 7.5 tonnes

Stevenage Insurance did mine £400 with no bonus. they are specialists.

I'm selling my 7.5T race truck if you're interested, It's a 1992 Renault Midliner - all decked out with tyre/tool racks etc - it's a sleeper cab too......£7,500??? PM me if interested

I have mine on a classic policy, it's over 15 years old. Footman James, I think, just over £100. Interestingly I also bought a bigger lorry and they only wanted £15 to add it to the policy.
