I'm not 100% sure of this but I was told one of the reasons for updating silverstone was for the exact idea of holding two events at once.

i.e. one event covered by one set of pits and on different sections of the track.

I'm sure someone who does properly know will be along shortly to give a definitive answer though.

I do know the BRSCC event on the International Circuit includes Caterham Roadsports, Supersports and R300s - I'll be number 13 of the Roadsports.

No idea whats happening on the other bit.

With the Wing pit and paddock complex Silverstone can now host two events. One on the national circuit ( which is still essentially as it was) using the old pits, and One on the New international circuit (which is a slightly revised southern circuit) using the Wing pit and paddock complex.
If you are able to go between the circuits then it should be good value.

okay - very helpful. i have only ever seen the GP circuit or national circuit being used for racing and 'experience days' on the international circuit. hence my confusion. - is this the first weekend where there has actually been two race meets at the same time I wonder..?

hmm this is a real dilema now! as you say both out to be watchable at the same time... but the only real vantage point to see both is to be on the sticky out bit of the infield on the inside of becketts. i suppose if they open the stand then that's do-able.

c'est interesting!

thanks etc.

I'll be on the southern bit most likely but if I were going for fun i would look at watching a bit from Luffield, then go over the bridges to have a look from the infield at both as i work my way towards Becketts, then through the Copse tunnel, round the outside of Becketts and down to Stowe to finish up the day at Abbey.

I've spent £10 on worse things!

obviously with both circuits in use, there will be no way to get from one infield to the other, but you can walk the entire perimiter or as said just plonk yourself down at Becketts and take it all in.

any idea when the BRSCC races will finish? i now need to get up to north staffs for a family do..

i note that hscc final race starts at 1715 so will end by 1740. seeing as it's formula jr - i don;t mind missing this.

i would really like to see the brscc saloon race though...and i have a sneaking suspicion it's on at the same time..!
