RAF Odiham FDMC Sprint

Had a great day out at RAF Odiham today which was very well organised by Farnborough & Distric MC. This is the first time Odiham has been used in 30-40 years for motorsport so we where all on our best behaviour.

Very fast circuit was laid out and this was my fastest lap

FTD was 1.21 sec by one of the single seaters (20 secs faster than I was !)

And this is me killing cone during practise I slowed down as I thought the cone was still under the car.

I totally agree Jeff.
I thought it was a great track. I hope we're invited back next year - at least once!!

Not quite true as the runway was used by Straightliners for a quarter mile sprint last 25th April.

Ahh...OK, didn't know that. I understood the last sprint was back in the 1970s.

Looks like a decent layout, do you know the length? It's a bit of a trek for me though.

Gutted I missed out on this, would have been up with the lads from the IOWCC but my engine wasn't installed in time!

Will this be on the calendar again for next year? Looked like a cracking course, much faster than anything I'd have done before.

I believe this year was a trial with a view to including it on one or more of the championship schedules next year.
