Well I will try to write a full race report up from CSCC tintops at Cadwell when I can, but for now I must say a huge thanks to Steve (aka skeggysteve). Without his help at the track and local knowledge my weekend would have been over 5 laps in to practice on Saturday when the gearbox lunched 4th and 5th.

With his considerable help and spanner work we changed the box after sourcing a local VW garage spare and got to race, win my class and come 7th overall. Thank god I have a Golf and not some rare odd gearboxed car which no one has tons of parts laying around for!!

Thanks Alex, glad I was able to help (I'm happy to help any other PH racers that come to Cadwell) but it wasn't all my doing - the recovery truck driver was a big help and you did a lot as well.

Your driving wasn't that bad either!

Glad you enjoyed your visit to the best circuit in the country but don't forget to bring your own broom next time
