Free Pair Of Hands (Kent Based)
Discussion
Hi - I've helped out with a friends team in the last few years (LMA Eurosaloons & Britcar) and for various reasons they arent racing at moment & Im really keen to stay involved because A: I'd like to gain more experience and B: I love it & live for it so just wondered if there are any teams near me that want some free help?
During the 2-3 seasons that I've been involved in the sport I've taken part in pit stops (wheel changes, re-fuelling, getting drivers in/out) pitwall timing, general running around in the paddock getting fuel, new tyres fitted, cleaning up tyres after practice & quali sessions. Along with this, I've helped teams set-up their garages, preparation/repair of the cars over a weekend & I've re-fuelled for a team that took a class win in the Silverstone 24hr race back in 2009 & most importantly I make a good cup of tea Im no mechanic by any means but I know a bit about cars & Im always willing to learn more (have built my own track car). Monday to Friday Im stuck in an office watching the clock, counting down the hours til I can go racing, I know beggars cant be choosers but I love my tin tops so if anyone out there wants a free pair of hands please get in touch.
I live in Dartford (10 mins from Brands) & Im prepared to travel anywhere in the UK for races.
Cheers

Hi,
Don't know if my level of racing would be enough to keep you interested but I am always looking for a pair of hands, and some consistency to the pit crew would be a great help. Having to explain the format and race strategy (fag packet ideas) each time takes alot of my morning up. I race i the CSCC TinTops, a mk1 Golf, it's my first season and a steep learning curve. Also I am competing in the RAFMSA Race series which works on a points system for good driving. This runs alongside many other race series where we buy a grid slot from them, the last was Lydden with Semsec.
Would happily provide food and supplies for the race weekend for willing crew.
Check out the CSCC web site and my FB page, I am currently developing the web site. It's a fun a friendly race weekend with a average grid of 25-30 cars. 40 min's, with a mandatory stop, 30 min qualifying. And having someone to check tyres temps/psi rather than me jump out during quali would help lots!!
Thanks and please get it touch if you think it may be for you.
