Really want to stick my Go Pro HD on the outside of the car for this weekends race at Donington. Hav checked the blue book online on the MSA site but cant see anything that covers it....

SR's just say that any camera fitted must be before the car is scrutineered.

Has anyone done this? any issues?

Thanks

NS

I have not had any problems with my Go Pro were ever I put it on the car.

I drive and MX5 and mount it ontop of the roll cage.

Don't use a suction cup, as it won't pass scrutineering.
You probably can't use a sticky pad either. I believe the mount must be 'mechanical' - rollbar clamp, cable ties, home-made fabricated bracket etc.

Depending on the car, you might need to use some rubber to damp vibrations.

Ensure you can get to it to turn it on/off etc unless you're happy for it to record about three times as long as you need it to.

I'm in a classic beetle so the car is closed...

I'll have a chat with the scrutineer on the day I think...

Hi NS missed you at Donnington this weekend, the DM series ran on Saturday. Are you going to Spa?
