Guys,

We are bringing back the concept of the old British Heart Foundation day to Snetterton on 26th November 2011.

We will be offering passenger rides in Race cars and Supercars to the public over the day on the 200.

Also on the 100, we will have Classics doing the same but alternating with car dealerships running new car demo rides.

Anyone have experience of the old events, would be great to hear what you liked and disliked about the old events and what would be good to see happen this time round.

Our aim is to make it an annual event again.

Jay,

Good to chat via Email....let me know if there is anything else you need to know. Perfect example of the track cars we are looking at having along with Super cars for the day too.

My goal will also be to get some GT cars and maybe a BTCC car so if you have any contacts let me know.

Will contact you closer to the time mate but make a note of the date in your race calendar.

Thanks
kev

My dad use to support this with his GT40. We must have done about 3/4 years and had a great time taking people out for 3 laps. Also had the car on display at Tesco Ipswich to drum up interest.

From memory the only confusing bit was working out who had paid for a specific car v those that were queuing for a group of cars. It was always a bit of a rush to find the right person and get them in and out to avoid having the car sitting stationary for to long.

Mark,

Yup. Hopefully we will be fixing this.

The idea is that once all members of public have signed a disclaimer, they will get a wristband.

Once they have a wristband, they can then queue to purchase a ticket for whichever group they wish to be passengered in. Once paid they get a ticket.

Each car on track will have someone who will strap passenger in once they have taken the ticket and checked for wristband.

No wristband = no ticket.

No ticket = no ride.

We have a couple of the old BHF organisers onboard as well as a couple of trackday organisers so hopefully we will be able to cure some of the old issues.

Would be great to get an original GT40 as we have a new one on track for the day so far.

Guys,

Our event is gathering pace so if anyone can volunteer their services and their car to offer passenger rides for charity at Snetterton on Saturday 26th November can you please put your name down on the list I've just started on PHEA please?

We are working with the insurance company to be able to cover drivers, cars and passengers under our event insurance.

Would be great to get some touring cars old or new at the event and anything else that will give a great thrill to Joe Public and help raise some decent charity money.

Thanks
