I suspect a similar topic may have been raised before but I'm too lazy to look.

Wife's X5 needs a new set of tyres. Can anyone recommend somewhere in Dubai?

Just by way of an update ... I got the following quote from MSW for the X5:

"Bridgestone Dueler HP Runflat – 2013

Front: 275/40/20 106W – 1,450 each x 2 = 2,900 Dhs
Rear: 315/35/20 110Y – 1,600 each x 2 = 3,200 Dhs

Prices are inclusive of fitting & balancing."

Does it have to be run flats?
I must confess that I thought the run flats were instead of a spare wheel ... but apparently not. I know they harm the ride but she does the commute from Dubai to Abu Dhabi every day and presumably getting a puncture in a run flat means she can at least get back without having to change the wheel on the hardshoulder of SZR.

Am pretty sure X5's dont have a spare? My wifes doesnt. Hence the run flats.
As I understand it a spare wheel was an optional extra for those who didn't want run flats. Mrs T has confirmed that hers does not have a spare wheel so going back to the original question, yes run flats are essential.

Even with the 10% discount the total would be 9,774 AED against the quote from MSW of 6,100 AED. So it looks like she'll be making a trip to Al Quoz.

Many thanks though for taking the time to get the quote though.

AED7,700 if my calculation is correct.
Yes sorry you're correct, I'd inadvertantly calculated 3 wheels for the back !! Should have used an abacus instead of MS Excel.

I will ask MSW about the date. Cheers.

do you know what week they were manufactured.
From MSW:

"Front: end of May / early June
Rear: end of November / early December"
