2 things:

what channel is it shown on? can we also pick things up like the WRC, touring cars, any motor sport at all?

anyone going / been to the AUD grand prix? just had an email round with prices for the 3 day pass. whilst i wouldn't pay that to watch the race in rain soaked silverstone, it is mighty tempting out here.

AUH Sports show the GP's in Arabic. Went to the AUH GP for the last 2 years with the wife and son (north and south grandstand, south was better). The wife said that we are not going this year so I haven't booked tickets, not bothered to be honest. The only problem I am going to have is when they announce the concerts and the lad will want to go at least one of them.

OK I have the advantage of being in the F1 pits when we race the touring cars there and hopefully the bikes next season (we use the F1 pits).

i am viewing it as more of a drinking escapade with gigs and a race for a backdrop. do decent bands play? i hope i don't get so musically desperate here that i'll go watch shakira or ali campbell as seemed to be the rage last week.

The gigs have all been big names, Aerosmith, Jamiroquai, Beyonce, Kings of Leon are the ones I can remember.

If you get the Abu Dhabi sports package that gives you the Premiership then you will get the GP's in English.

They are on at st times to watch here though with Sunday being the first day of the week.

Last year it was Kanye West, Linkin Park and Prince.
