Cheap flight websites

Morning all,

I'll be needing to take a trip back to the UK at short notice in the next two weeks. Don't have exact dates yet. Are there any decent UAE websites that advertise last minute / cheap flights? I'll be flying from Abu Dhabi to Edinburgh.

I have checked all the usual carriers (Etihad, KLM, British Airways) and whilst they all operate the flights I need the prices are usually north of AED 6000 return!

I use skyscanner most of the time. It is never cheap to fly out of here unfortunately!

It is sometime cheaper to go via Doha / Bahrain / Muscat.

This probably won't help you this time, but if you can sort your tickets out so that you start flying UK to DXB back to UK, you will be paying half the fair with Emirates, compared to originating your flights from the UAE.

Only issue with that is that you need to know when you're going back. I think. Can you leave flights open with Emirates?

I've noticed the price going up on all carriers recently. I'm currently trying to book a flight to Glasgow (September departure): Emirates AED 4,200 and BA 3,900... way dearer than it was when I booked a couple of months back.

If you can deal with a stop over in bahrain gulf air are cheap, just booked a 2 dayer to london next week for about 2500

Just bought tickets with BA from DXB > LHR > Newcastle (and return) for about AED 3000 via www.opodo.co.uk
