I just bought a 2001 Generation 1 Dodge Durango this weekend. Cracker of a deal and lovely condition. Not sure how to post pics but it is black outside with black rims and 50% tints. I still don't know how it got throught the Tajeel test but it did smile

It has a full service history with Trading Enterprises to 104k. After that it is just regular oil changes and routine stuff supported by a bunch of well ordered receipts. I want to get a full service done for peace of mind. It is now on 140k and the V8 5.9 magnum engine is purring beautifully.

Can anyone recommend a 4x4 garage that can look after the Durango (or any that I should avoid?)? I know of Robbies, Icon and Off-Road Zone but not sure how to choose between them. The car is currently stock and I am not planning on adding anything so it will just be for routine servicing.

Many thanks!

Robbies is more of a lift kit fitting garage, stay away from off road zone at all costs (there are some very bad stories floating around about them). Try a2b Motorsport and Garage (04 347 5712) in Al Quoz near Marina furnishing.

+1 on the off road zone advice, mate bought a Wrangler from them with a cracked chassis.

Another friend had all the work done on his Wrangler at Robbie's, as stated though I'd see it more as a place to get mods done.

There is Saluki garage as well, owned by a PH'r (Desert Dog?)

Second that recommendation - Saluki look after my Jeep Grand Cherokee very well. 04 347 6939 ask for Mark or Barry

Another vote for a2b here. Good guys but can get busy as they have racing commitments.

Thanks for all of your contributions. Once again PH comes up with the goods! I suspect that it is all too easy for any garage to get negative press but appreciate all the comments!

Sounds perfect! It's pretty straightforward to post a photo. When you start a post, click on the link (above where you type) that says 'Upload an image (beta)' and just follow the instructions. It's fairly straightforward.

Good luck with the truck and let's see some pictures. biggrin

Thanks Geoff, hope this works. Been a member for ages and recall that I had to type the whole link with loads of square brackets etc. The upload tool is MUCH easier so cheers for that.

Here she is, all 5.9 litres. Best of all, insurance third party costs me only AED630! (that's the equivalent of 5 full tanks of Enoc's special)! Now, just need to get a PH sticker smile

Yeah, it used to be a bit more involved. You needed a third-party site to host your photos on (e.g. flickr or photobucket) before you even started. The new way takes away all of this hassle.

Love the Dodge! It looks pretty mean with the black rims, windows and grille. thumbup

Thanks a lot fellas. I must admit I never liked Dodge much but when I saw the colour combination it just seemed right. Girlfriend is not convinced tho...;)

That's a cracking looking Durango....will be easy to spot. Fantastic motors for the money. A "mate" bought one recently, and it's a blinding motor.
If you see a green/purple X5 weaving about and waving....it's only me!

Another recommendation for Saluki Motorsport. I recently left my Chevy 'hoe with them for a service and to sort out a few niggles. Very pleased!

Mark is a PistonHeader and a top bloke to deal with. He also had some very nice vehicles in the workshop when I was there, both his own and various customers' cars.

Thanks again, Mark. thumbup
