Picked her up yesterday. 2011, fully loaded - leather, LEDs, Keyless entry, push button start, etc.
Lovely little motor - quick, well built and fun to drive. Happy days.

Looks good. I like the look of the mkVI, particularly the grille. How much was it I you don't mind me asking? Brand new?

Nice. Why the angry face in the original post?! Thought it was going to be a horror story!

I haven't as of yet. Mind you I do have the 'girly' DSG auto option!

Yeah as do my mates.

They blip the throttle, same as a Scirocco, whic sounds like a fart, especially outside the car!

For what its worth I think DSG is an awesome bit of kit.

I was thinking the same thing! biggrin

When I was 17 years old, a friend of mine at school got a black GTI (insured by his Mum) as soon as he passed his test. Seemed bloody quick all those years ago, I'm sure the new ones are even better.

Good choice, I ran a Tornado Red MkV for a couple of years and I have to say it was faultless and immense fun. The farting noise is addictive.

As for the DSG, an absolutely fantastic 'box and probably a better choice for everyday driving than a manual over here.

Did you get the tartan seats? They were one of my favourite features of mine.

I went for the leather option. I have a little one, so easier to clean. I do like the tartan seats though. Very old school.

First impressions of the DSG box are very positive. Looking foward to putting her into sport mode and being a bit heavy footed once I hit the magic 1000km mark.
