Looking at a car from 1991- a fine motor, although the engine appears to be in the boot.

Can anyone suggest a good place to get it insured? I understand that due to its age, it will have to be third party only? Is this correct???
Any suggestions welcome.

Oh, and are we all going to get organized and get together for a beer or two soon?

I just bought a 97 M3 Evo, so yes, you can only get 3rd party Insurance. You can get 3rd party, fire and theft if you push hard.

I paid AED1,250 for my insurance (3rd party) and thats cos she is a coupe. Would be cheaper if it is 4 door (I used to pay AED750 for my WRX Scooby).

RSA give a decent quote, however, I use a Company called Trust Auto: 04 2618118

I use a company in the UK to top up between third party and fully comp. Think it's Lockton from memory but can let you know when back in Dubai on Thursday. From memory costs about 750 on an 85 911 with a value of about 15k.

I'll look up details when back from the goodwood revival and post them up tomorrow. Was lockton but think they may have changed their name and/or been taken over

Cheers
