Do we have enough Qatar people for a Losail PH Track Day?
Discussion
I'd be game for it but it would need to be soon before the temperature really starts to climb.

Im in Qatar however unfortunatly I only have a rental, the job is faaar too unstable to risk buying a car. Nice to know there is the odd other Pistonheader out here too though!
A rental is perfect, in fact I was thinking about a rental for the day Mark.H said:
c997, is your aston dark purple? i think i saw you on the roundabout just outside the pearl heading towards the golf club, (about 5-5.30 on thurs).
Yeah that would have been me heading to the golf club. If you could tell the colour, it must have been clean for a change. Flamin' nightmare of a car to keep clean! C997 said:
Admirals is a really good bar and even better when you can sit outside. I want a boat parked at the door of Admirals, heaven! Dream on...
indeed, i have a mate who is taking the one nearest the admirals out for sea trials as he is interested, the one beyond that with the blue hull is the emirs youngest daughters and the others are Emiri Yachts that can be rented... I actually do a bit of work taking groups scuba diving off of one of the boats in that marina every weekend, although its not as fancy as the big ones. They have installed a water mist cooling system outside too for the summer in the hope it keeps the temp low enough to let people sit outside all year round.Nice! Hope the water spray system works, it would be good to be able to use the deck year round, or for more of the year.
I've never seen any of those big yachts move yet, although I did see the Prime Ministers one out last weekend from The Pearl marina. Must be difficult piloting one of those big things around the bays here. There's so many places to run aground!
Is there anything to see diving? Most of the lads in here have given it up cos it's dead supposedly.

I know that boat well, i know the skip, chef and chief stewardess. There isnt so much to beach it on, they have extremely detailed charts from all the surveys the gas boys do around here.I've never seen any of those big yachts move yet, although I did see the Prime Ministers one out last weekend from The Pearl marina. As for diving, we go offshore 40+miles to sunken oil tankers, tug boats and barges... common sightings include sea snakes, dolphins, turtles, travelly, massive groupers, equally massive barraccudas in large numbers, lots of little fishies, cuttlefish, and yellowfin tuna off the top of my head... You just have to know where to go diving off the beach is crap here.
