Iw WAS a good start to the day, then I remembered that we're moving offices today. So, I'm leaving the lovely DFC for Diera. Gone are my lunchtime shopping trips and lunch by the Marina overlooking the water. Gone are the choices of shops to frequent. Gone is the free parking and also gone is the underground car-park which is a life saver in the summer.
However, about to go is the airport view. I sit for at least an hour a day staring out of the window watching them land and take-off. I love it. What am I gonna do now?

You have it too easy Chilli!

My office view is a rotten old Russian powerstation and a muddy hole acroos the road. I have no good shops, no good places to eat and it's still bloody cold and snowy.

No sympathy at all.

Can you get me a job?

I do sympathise Chilli...the locals love moving us all around regularly. I currently work in the middle of Mohammed Bin Zayed City, and my commute takes 10 minutes and never any traffic and loads of parking. There's also some positive roadwork detours which convert my journey to work into a racing circuit with some nice coned off chicanes!

Compare that to where I'm moving to...city centre, 45 minute commute, nightmare parking etc. The only good thing is that I will be able to look out the window at the Al Bateen area sea views.

Brilliant!!!
The sames for me at my new villa. They're still sorting the roads out and there are cones everywhere. Then there's the works vehicles as fodder....the brakes have just been sorted so stamping on them just before certain death is quality. Just wished the car was manual.

Still, I won last night!!!

Sorry Bobski, they don't like 'your sort' in this part of the world, sorry man!

Anyway, you drink too much to work/live here. No Vodka breakfast's round here and messing with 15 local women a night is frowned upon. Trust me, you'd hate it!

No vodka and group sex?

Well if you'd said that in the beginning... I'll just stay in Russia then.

I'm in DIFC.

Nice place to work, crap place to drive to.

Nice "scenery" make up for it though!

Enjoy boys...

You must have been based in the Dubai festival tower!

I sit and watch the planes daily from the 19th floor.

You missed a nice little SLR 722 parked outside today, I cringed when I saw two guys sitting on the bonnet whilst having photos taken!

Certainly was sir! Small world. Actually, I get to see them a lot closer now...I was staring out of the window in the new office and a 380 roared passed...happy days are back!

Sitting on the bonnet? That should be a crime here! I once saw a guy with his hands on a veyron, leaning all over it he was...felt like slapping him!
ps - I see your in construction? I still have a good mate looking for a project management role of you know of anyone?!

Cheers.
