Good morning...

What a nice way to start the day! Cheered me up no end. As Chilli says give it 8 hours or so and the weekend will be here, let the red wine commence.
Should be a good weekend as well, finally signing the bank papers for the new motor today and brunch tomorrow, what could possibly go wrong!

Good Morning. What fine morning it is here in Abu Dhabi too.
Just checked the UK WebCam back at home to see another miserable Day start ...
Were moving from Abu Dhabi to a hotel closer to Dubai this afternoon.
Probably going to hit the Jumeirah Beach Rooftop bar this evening for beers and watch the sun set.
Tomorrow.. Wild Waddi, and Saturday heading oop to one of the other Emirates to cruise the coast and drink Beer all day before flying back to the UK on Sunday ;(
Time to start looking for a job out here I think ....

What line of work are you in?
Fabulous morning here on the beach walk as well.
Sat on the balcony with my laptop and a cuppa enjoying the sunshine.
Have VIP tickets to the boat show for late afternoon / evening and off to test drive a 'Vette at the weekend, can't go wrong!
Just trying to decide if Tony Romas is worth a visit for dinner tonight
Have fun one and all.

I had the ribs @ Tony Romas, wasn't great if I'm honest. Very fatty, not cooked for long enough IMO.Sat on the balcony with my laptop and a cuppa enjoying the sunshine.

I recommend the ribs and steak for that matter at The Butchers Shop & Grill, you won't go wrong there, very nice indeed... I have eaten in the new one in Mirdiff and it was great. Also in MOE and JBR.

In fact The Butchers Shop on JBR is about 2 minutes from my hotel, so that sounds like a plan to me!!I recommend the ribs and steak for that matter at The Butchers Shop & Grill, you won't go wrong there, very nice indeed... Done deal then. I had the steak sampler last time I went, 4 different cuts on a skewer, melts in the mouth. A friend had the ribs, they looked fantastic and tasted great (I tried a bit). Enjoy!Yes, fabulous start to the day by me picking up Oilydan for a cruise in to work. Stopped at Jebal Ali petrol station for mac D's on the way (saussie/egg mac muf with x2 hash browns and coffee yum).
Decent cruise into work with no real drama's (and hitting 200km/h).
Tmr its off to Al Ain Zoo.

Now, you can't leave it like that!
Well, a bit of story to this one. Have been lusting after an early 997S/Cayman S for quite sometime now and dropped into the Al Naboodah used car place in Al Quoz last weekend. They had a poverty spec, base 997 in that was not much cop or a well specced 997S Targa that was a Targa for a kick off and over priced. Plus the sales guy was a bit of a tt and did not take me seriously 'cos I had typical weekend attire on. Happened to walk passed the used Audi place popped in and test drove a TTRS, loved it and put a deposit down about 30 seconds later. So all being well it will arrive this coming Thursday.
It is absolutely immense, pretty much every option, Sports Exhaust, Mag Ride, Bose Surround, Nav, DVD the 19'' 'titanium' alloys, Head light assist etc etc it is in Sepang Blue and best of all manual. 2010 with only 4500 clicks on it. Plus the sales guy I dealt with is a bit of a car and bike nut so we spent ages discussing his vintage British bikes and his blat round Khasab in an R8 V10.
It is now 16:30 and officially wine o'clock. Ahh the benefits of working from home.
PS got a great deal on my 350Z by selling back to Nissan, got about 5k more than I would expect to get from Dubizzle.

Big congrats on the TTRS Dubai John. Have you driven the Cayman S? How does it compare?
I too work from home and have the luxury of a wine fridge in my office. Probably not the best idea but it's Thursday after all. Cin Cin!
Yeah I drove the Cayman S Sport that is in Ali & Sons in Abu Dhabi, it was a tiptronic and very nice. That did not feel much faster that my 350Z, if at all. Nicer in every other way though. The TTRS is a different beast altogether IMHO feels a lot faster than either the 310bhp 350Z or the 310bhp Cayman S Sport. Ride in the TTRS is very composed and when you push the sport button the magride stiffens up a treat. I too work from home and have the luxury of a wine fridge in my office.
