Afternoon all,

I ned some suggestions for a venue for brunch of possible- not for me, as i have the family here, but it must have a good range of food available (dont they all) nothing too noisy or indeed, too quiet, and MUST have champers included, prices up to about 550.
Got some guests coming from the UK-work- and need to get something organized that isnt too shabby, nor too deliberatley posh.
I have only done brunch once (until tomorrow) and that was at the Hilton- I guess it was ok as i barely remember!!

Cheers in advance

Damn, whats the place called Oily and I were at on NY day - somewhere in the Westin. Great selection of foods and bubbly too, circa AED480 a head.

Not sure how mch Spectrum on One is at the Fairmont, might be around the AED550 - Moet champers too.

Westin is spot on. As is Al Qasr or Mina A Salam.

I was at the last one last weekend and it was super.

The Cellar at the Aviation Club (across the 'lake' from the Irish Village) is great. If I recall correctly about 300Dhs all in. Also it is a la carte so no need to be constantly up and down like a brides nighty. You can sit outside or in, service is good and you can then pop across to the Irish Village for a couple of Guini after.

Also they do they Friday and Saturday between 12 and 4 I think.

PS slightly OT but you know those 'sweating like a...' phrases heard a new one the other day that might appeal to the PH masses.

Sweating like a blind lesbian in a fishmongers.
