Is anyone from Dubai planning to go to Yas this Saturday?

I think it sounds quite good but I haven't got any transport. If anyone has a space in their car and fancies giving me a lift, please let me know.

UAE GT Championship will be a support race. Interesting how there's been virtually no mention of this in the press.

Pop in to the support pits and say hi. Although, having said that, Yas are pretty snooty about accessing different areas so it may not be possible.

Thanks Ian. We made P3 on the grid tomorrow. Let's see how it goes - could do with a bit of luck for once.

Had a nice half hour watching the Aussie V8s from the top of the support pits grandstand. Great view.

Got the du box to record both races. The first 2 laps of the race were a bit manic, especially as the front row didn't move when the lights went out.

The Porche must seem like a rocket ship after the 120d hey Harris!!!!

I popped in to see Martin & Karim.

Was gutted for Martin - he jumped in the Aston, made a couple of places in only a few laps and then had to retire with mechanical issues.

Was having a problem adjusting. Got 3 sighting laps on Thursday and straight into race today (Paul did quali). Not my finest effort but we got a podium. Khaled's Ginetta and David's Maserati wiped each other out on the opening lap. Julian's Viper did one (again) and Cabell's Ferrari spun twice before he decided sod this I'd quite like to be alive at the end of today.

Those Aussie V8s looked flippin' brilliant. Would love to have a go in one of those.
