err I thought the Eid holidays were Monday-Wednesday, so Sunday and Thursday are working days. Except I will be at the GP on Sunday so that leaves Thursday.

Eid is starting Tuesday, that is confirmed.

The official holidays are yet to be announced, i think they are worried about the markets being closed Tues-Sat so may do Mon-Weds for Eid instead.

Probably - religion flies out the window when there's money to be made.

I remember a while back when the Desert Classic fell on the same day as something like the Prophet's Birthday. They changed the law so 'International' Events' were exempt from being held to standard religious rules i.e. No booze for 24hrs.

First and foremaost - get a bloody request in to extend the tender submission date to the week after. State that as Eid has been announced Suppliers and subbies will be off etc and that you need the additional time to get better rates and prices, therefore providing a better commercial offer which will ultimately benefit the Client.

We have just issued two requests, works everytime.

Already did this last week but still no response - an extension would just mean that I have more time to rework the shocking contributions of my lazy colleagues!
