Finally decided to get the garden sorted now the temps are dropping.

Anyone know of a reliable garden/landscaping company that supplies decent quality turf?

Also, looking to get a well done so that we don't have to worry about our DEWA bills going mental.

Thought about putting down astroturf? Mate of mine did it in his house in the ranches and it cuts down on the water bills quite a bit!

It might be an option but we were looking at getting a well installed which once the initial cost is covered, free water!

It's a case of making sure the water below us is 'sweet'.

I have been through 3 Gardening companies, usually they send a decent guy to reassure you and then send absolute retards to actually keep your garden.

We have had guys watering plants with water from the pool - fired.

We have had guys who asked for extra money on a Friday because their boss didn't pay them enough - fired.

We have had guys coming on a Friday with a couple of their mates, just as the family was in the pool - Fired.

However, our new guy is a one man band, seems to really know what he is talking about and the garden is coming back from the death bestowed upon it by the last lot of muppets.

He also has loads of contacts for things like well drilling, plumbing and sweet sand etc.

Want his number?

He drives a hard bargain but don't back down! We started him on AED400 but now pay him AED500 per month, plus supplies, after we showed him what we wanted the extra 100 to get us!.

You can arrange to come around here if you want to talk to him and see what he does?

Don't forget there are two types of water pump. 1 is submersible and is very quiet the other is surface mounted and more noisy. Which can be handy when the pump is outside your bedroom window and then you when the gardener arrives (5am......).

Of course if the surface pump packs up it is a lot easier to change.
