Dubai tonight??

I am in Dubai for two nights getting a visa processed, can anyone recommend any good bars to go to tonight?

Also what is worth going to see tomorrow? I will have the full day free?

I am staying at the Le Méridien right next to the airport if that helps.

Hello Sam.
Given that you're near the airport, I'd head to the Irish village. It might be quieter than when I went on a Friday, and it's quite near where you are.
Personally, I hated it, but then you're probably younger and more sociable then I am.

If you don't mind a 20 cab ride and your lovely wife is not with you, head to the Rattlesnake at the Metropolitan...gets quite lively!

If its your first time here and you don't mind a taxi ride (circa 70 chips) then head to the madinat, overly touristy but has some good bars and spectacular views of burj al arab.

The madinat is a good call actually. Also, there's a couple of good bars at the base of the Burj Khalifa. We was a thte Left bank on Friday....loads of ladies seem to enjoy the place.

Tomorrow....The usual, Burj Khalifa, Jumarah beach, the marina for a dhow cruise (1 hour and about a tennor)The Dubai mall for a few pressies and a look at the largest aquarium in the world...Perhaps a trip to The Mall of the Emirates for a look at the ski slope. The Alpine bar is nice!
Oh, and if you're into horses, let me know and I'll get the mrs to book you a lesson!

Souq al Bahar is actually just as good (almost) as Madinat and is not too far from the airport. As mentioned it has all the decent lady-filled bars such as Left Bank and is also a great place to dine/watch the Dubai Fountain/marvel at the height of the Burj.
