Welcome! I've only been here six months but I think you've come at the right time. The weather is improving, Ramadan is over and things seem to be getting back to normal, whatever that is.

There are a handful of PHs here that post fairly regularly and we've had a few meet ups for beers over the last few months since I've been here. The last one fizzled out due to too many people being away over the summer but watch this space and I'm sure there'll be something else to join in with.

Welcome - nice Vette, seems a shame if you've just finished and you're now out here. At least running a suitable car isn't quite so crippling when it comes to fuel costs out here.

Or if they abolished income tax, changed the immigration policy radically, reduce the price of fuel to a more reasonable level.......and legalised 'it'....
