Middle East spotted thread
Discussion
As per other regional sections on PH, here is a spotted thread for Middle East
Obviously we are fairly spoiled here for exotica but anything you spot that is out of the ordinary shall we say, along with any awesome machines.
Just seen blitzing through Media City whilst i was having a smoke, a brand new 997 GT3RS.
Dark grey with red decals and red wheels, spoiler big enough to land a plane on!
Sounded about as good as 911 can do I reckon.
Sweeeeet

Bahrain's good for the odd classic Yank every now and then.
A few months back when I was in Dubai I spotted a (non BMW) red Mini copper down by DIMC as I was leaving, not a car you see very often in this part of the world.
Yesturday I parked in/under the Walk in the marina next to a old Jag XJS which was cool.
Oh and a few weeks back here in Bahrain a red Enzo and the new 458

1962 Mercedes-Benz limo. Sitting in Upgrade Tyres in Barsha last night. Utterly gorgeous in gloss black.
Now that is something special!Any recent car, however expensive really doesn't float my boat in Dubai anymore. Just go to the entrance of any of the big hotels and most car enthusiasts would get a semi.
That said, it seems that most of the local owned stuff is in London at the moment.
Crikey Ian. Where are you sitting at the moment? In the Sultan of Brunei's garage?
That said, I'm with Asterix on this one. Modern cars leave me a bit cold these days. Clearly I have turned into an old fogey. Was watching the Irish Rally a few days back on Motors TV in the UK. Love those old mark 2 Escorts - desperately want one now but am mechanically inept.
Apologies for the digression - as you were...

2 Enzo's
5+ Carrare GT's
1 SLS 500
1 Veyron
2 SLR 722's
Having said all that, this is the only place that I've seen a Veryon in the flesh. Two actually - one on the move (absolutely crawling along Al Wasl road one morning) and another parked up outside the Dubai Marina Yacht Club a few weeks ago.5+ Carrare GT's
1 SLS 500
1 Veyron
2 SLR 722's
I've seen 2x McMerc SLR 722s in Dubai since I moved here. One parked in my mate's neighbour's drive (!) and the other on the back of a recovery truck!
Such a awesome car!! Back home i was lucky enough to be taken for a spin in one which unfortunatly envolved a stint on the M27 with a lovely uphill long slip road before you get onto the motorway......
Engine and massive supercharger behind your head but inside the cabin is was quiet, my mate who drove it said it drove just like a normal car.
The guy we know who owned it (massive PH!!) had two, a blue one and a silver one like in your pic!!
