Ok chaps thinking of getting myself one of the above! thinking c6 as don't wanna spend z06 prices want as new as possible test driving tomorrow, anyone had any experience with these or know of any good ones?

budget of 160,000-170,000

or any other suggestions, welcome?

I was having exactly the same thoughts earlier this year. And I opted for a new Camaro SS. The Vette's about to be replaced...and the current one is looking a bit old hat now, IMHO. The C6 has the same engine as the Camaro SS, but the Camaro interior is nicer, and it has some back seats which are ok for passengers for short journeys....or short passengers! And the Camaro looks epic

I know the Vette's a sharper drive etc...but I'd have a quick go in a Camaro just to make sure you don't want it!

I am a massive fan of the current shape Vette - I think it looks stunning.

I drove a couple on my recent quest for a new car and, once you get over the usual 'it's an american car' issues they're actually pretty handy. In comparison tests they always come second to euro/jap cars but if you take them in isolation they provide a hell of a lot of bang for buck.

There are some fantastic bargains out there at the moment too - a Z06 might not be out of reach and that is supercar performance.
