Time in Dubai.... Maybe a PH beer?

It looks as though, thanks to the vagaries of flights from Angola, I'm going to have about 27hrs to kill in Dubai.
My flight arrives at 5am and I'm not leaving until 9am the following day.

This being the case, I could use a recommendation for a hotel to stay in and some suggestions of what I might do.... also, anyone fancy a beer on the night of Aug 3rd??

Only if you cut me into the arms/oil/diamond/gold (delete as appropriate) deal that you are making in Angola!

It's oil I'm in, but sadly there's no deal... in fact I'm more than likely leaving Angola to live / work in Dubai although nothing's certain yet.

Which company are you with? Will have dramatic influence on whether I will want to socialise with you

I won't be around on the 3rd as I'm on holiday but another PHer is always welcome to the ME. Do you drink/like Top Gear/have blatent disregard for road laws? You'll fit in well.

LOL, I'm with a small Angolan owned company that you'll never have heard of, so hopefully I'll pass muster for a beer!
As for the other things... well you missed out a liking for steak, but apart from that I think we're good!!

It's now the 4th not the 3rd and I'm booked into the Hilton at Dubai Creek if that means anything to anyone!

Lovely hotel. Pool is on the small side, but fantastic views though! Ramsey had a restaurant in there, but rather expensive. Tis a good location to go exploring too.
