Anyone on here live there? I have a call in a bit about an opportunity there but although I lived and know about AD and Dubai, I dont know much about Qatar...Im into Scuba Diving and Moto-X and cars so Im not so fussed about partying being a priority although I do like to go to bars for the odd drink.

Anyone?

Yip, been here for nearly five years now and still enjoying it so far.

I'm not sure how much motocross there is but i know there are groups of lads out most weekends in the dunes at Sealine and that area. There's some scuba diving but i'm told it's not up to much.

The nightlife is getting better all the time and there's quite a few new places coming soon i believe.

Losail track does track days most weekends outside of the summer period and you've got Moto GP etc as well. There's lots of powerboating etc but I notice there is no Class 1 Offshore race this year.

I guess it's what you make of it but I dont often find myself bored.

You'll do ok with that. You'll get a decent apartment for 8-10k plus bills. Cars and fuel are cheap, depending what you go for obviously but there is some decent second hand quick stuff about if you look hard enough. If you can flat share all the better.

Commuting here is nowhere near as painful as it used to be so you dont have to be living next door to work to avoid sitting in traffic for hours. I work near the airport and live near the Sheraton and it takes me no time morning and afternoon.

You'll enjoy it.
