Was like a load of busses, eh? The car idea is now "dead in the water". Found a local one instead.

Hehe. You lot are amusing. I'm especially amused by Chilli's particular brand of outrage ("the champers just wasn't quite chilled enough..."). I feel your pain. biggrin

Been out here 9 years and still can't get used to the bureaucratic nonsense. Having said that I just renewed the registration on my Lancia and it took less than half an hour. Heart was beating like a drum as they took it onto the ramp. I stood next to them pleading with them to be careful, but no probs, no fuss, 700 units of Expat Tax to pay, and I'm on my way....

Sorry, what was this topic about again?...

Overall, I'm pretty happy with life over here. Easily to take stuff for granted....But look at the weather. Cracking. Not a bad life to get home by 5, and sit and read the papers by the pool with a beer. Still looking to get a boat as well.

Thing is, I'm so bored at work. There is nothing of any use to do. There are glimmers of hope with new projects, but experience suggests these will never get off the ground. Looks like the contract has been extended until the end of the year, but I need something better. If anyone hears of any Banking roles, please let me know!

I thought I'd logged on to a DHL help desk site by accident!

My day is going well; new role has started to take off this week, got paid, staying in our place for another year - the large spare bunce from my allowance will help finance a new motor and....and....it's Thursday!

No. Well, not this hour anyway.

My thinking yesterday went from a 1988 635csi with full Alpina kit for about 30k (until I noticed the side skirts were missing), then I moved back, through a couple of 'expat special' old shape XK8s to a full house of Porsche options, that being my default setting. A mate's Cayman S is up for 115k as he's just traded in on a RR Sport and I know he paid about 150k for it late last year so I'm tempted to put in a cheeky bid for it just to float around on his depreciation for a while!

Top of today's list is a 996 C4S which is one of my all time favourite cars. Though there's a couple of F360s on around the 250k mark and if I told the Mrs they were cheaper than that I might just get away with i.......

Sorry, yeah, erm...probably a Mustang, no, arrrrrgggghhh... I might just end up driving this bloody Wrangler forever!

Hoe did a jovial comment about a proliferation of shipping information requests last night become a who's who of happiness?!
