RIP Christophe Hissette

Just heard the news that Christope Hissette was killed today after crashing at Dubai Autodrome during qualifying for the last round of the GulfSport Radical Cup. He was hoping to seal the title today.
Can't believe it - he was such a nice, approachable bloke and an awesome driver. He'll be missed. Rest in peace.

Didn't know him but poor chap, RIP. Must be terrible for his friends and family present to see something like that happen.

A truly awful, shocking day. All of us were in something of a daze for a couple of hours following the crash, trying to work out what happened. I feel especially terrible for his dad who had to witness such a horrific crash and then accompany his son to the hospital.

Christophe was one of the most genuinely talented drivers I have ever had the privilege to compete against. He truly had a God-given ability.

My deepest condolences to his family at this time.
