What is it with this place?
Why is it that everyone you talk to is clueless?
Why is it that everyone will nod, agree, and say yes, then run off and either do nothing or something completely different?
Why am I having to have my pool man round for the 8th time in 2 months?
Why do half of my TV channels never work?
Why is the home telephone still not connected after 4 visits from "engineers" to sort out the cabling?
Why is my car making a funny noise when it was properly checked out only a few weeks ago?
Why is the geezer down the road parking on my drive?
Why are they starting to build up the road at 06:00 every morning?

This morning, I'm not in the mood......Dubai is losing it's appeal.

Incompetence is commonplace here. That's the swing to the tax-free and sunny roundabout. I'm the same, some days it does my head in. But then I have a swim in the pool and feel better.

I need to get some time off and come and cheer you up.

I promise I will make there sooner rather than later, then you can let me drive your motor and get you drunk.

Think of it this way Chilli me old buddy pal, at least you're not in Russia. I mean, it's hard here. What with the gorgeous women, cold beer and gorgeous women.

I had to force myself to go out in Moscow on Saturday night. I don't take my resposibility lightly either, especially whilst I was belting out Oasis songs after far too many tequilas in the floating karaoke brothel.

You should feel for me mate.

Hrumph..at least you have alcohol to compensate, and nice cars and shopping and beaches and cinemas etc..

Try being in Libya mate, then you will appreciate what you DO have out in Dubai (yes I know I chose this place but it was better than the UK).

Oh, ok...no sympathy then.
Ok, try this..... the maid took 3 hours to wash a few floors and generally tidy up yesterday. Now, I rekon it would have taken me a week, but then again, I'm not a professional, right? It's outrageous.

AND I had to walk about 400 yards from the car-park to the office this morning, as I was a little late and no-one bothered to save me a space. I know, I know...I thought the same...inconsiderate bas'tids.

Not really a champers fan TBH.

Thing is, the fridge at home....It's on a normal setting, but when I put the beers in the top, they freeze. Put them right at the bottom, and they are a good couple of degrees above perfect drinking temperature.

Think a letter of complaint to the manufacturer is in order?

I had this issue recently. Real pain in the arse. Turned out with was something to do with not loading the fridge up properly. My fridge contains only beer, spirits, mixers and some milk for when I want a brew on a Sunday morning.

Obviously if the fridge runs low it is a cause for concern.

Anyway, what I talking about again?

Bobski, you must come out for a visit...liven the place up a bit. Tru...Freegle is giving it some thought when work permits.
We could hire bikes and have a Middle eastern hoon...I mena, they'll break down and we'll all be killed, horribly by the other motorists, but all good fun.

That sounds like fun. If we do it in the summer we can also melt in our leathers!

I'll sort out my time off and I'll make it down, it would be great to come down and see you, plus, there will be no jet lag for me!
