I have a company fuel card. It really annoys my friends back home when I tell them fuel costs around 20p / litre and then mentioned that the company pays for it as well!

Last time I was home it cost me almost £60 to fill a Ford Mondeo

Quite. I had a Honda Civic on hire, and that cost IIRC AED55 to fill up. The BM is AED120. I'd hate to think what it would cost at home.

Just change the AED for GBP and you'd be about there!

Funny eh? You spend months driving like you do at home, shaking your head at "the locals" but before you know it, you've joined them!

You can accurately judge a nanosecond - it is the time difference between a traffic light going green and someone behind you beeing their horn!

Agreed!! Just moved back from 'DU(Bankrupt)BAI' and i'm telling you this st hole is even worse than you could imagine. I thought Mid East paper pushing was bad, At least you can pay to have someone else do it or know someone or better still bribe someone.

The UK is a great place to be from, not to live in.

24 months and we're off to OZ.

When you look at a white Land Cruiser and think, yeah not bad actually.. wonder what there like off road? Might pop along to the dealer and spec one out in white with the gold option pack.....
