To feed my developing watch fetish I fancy adding a G Shock to the (small but perfectly formed) collection. Anybody seen anywhere in Dubai/Abu Dhabi that actually sells them?

Carrefour in MOE used to do them but have inexpeciably stopped doing them.

Dubai Duty Free has a reasonable selection. Also pricing is reasonable (contrary to everything else in Dubai). Call them before you travel to check if they have what you're looking for in stock - they can usually order it in if you ask sufficiently in advance.

Is that the large building by the airport? Always wondered what that was!

There's a Casio shop in Lamcy PLaza, Oud Metha.

I got my Trek there and bought a coupld of G-Shocks as gifts - seem to have the best range I've seen in Dubai - must have over 100 different models

Sorry I meant DDF in the airport itself which is not very helpful (bit presumptuous of me to assume everyone travels frequently! smile). The big building is just the warehouse I think.

Asterix clearly knows his watches.

Guilty - Have a soft spot for and an empty bank account thanks to watches - didn't help that I got the missus hooked as well frown

Same here, just splurged on a Panerai so thought the next watch better be relatively cheaper.

Hour choice also sells a limited range.

I believe that Jumbo is the 'official' Casio dealer but have more in the way of calculators and cameras than G-Shocks.

The shop in Lamcy is widely known to have the best selection in town though.

Ian, the thread is 18 months old!

The g-shock collection @ the airport ran to about 20 models when I bought mine in July if that is of any use to the random bumper.

Didn't know about the Lamcy shop so it was worth bumping for me!

Holy thread resurrection Batman!

I have also added a couple of G Shocks to my Amazon wishlist so hopefully Santa will ignore my behaviour this year.

I think the price will be similar if honest, why not go and try them at lamcy then give the others a call and see how the price differs?
