Did it rain or what?!
I now realise they don't build Villa's over here that have properly fitting doors. Spent most of last night mopping up the water. Also, given the driveway is just sand at the moment, the car had sunk to within an inch of its belly. Neighbours weren't so lucky. Oh, and where's my road gone? Tis a sand pit now.
The lightening was good to watch though.

A couple of months ago it completely f
ked it down here in Bahrain for about a week! I don’t think I have even seen rain that bad back in the UK!! Everything flooded, everything leaked, and traffic lights went out and due to the lack of drains the roads disappeared! To say this part of the world can’t deal with rain would be a understatement! Bit like back in the UK in the temp gets above 25*C your hosepipe gets banned and everyone complains it’s "too hot"!!
I loved it! It was like being home again charging through puddles in my Nissan sunny while the locals in their LAND CRUISERS AND HUMMERS (!!!??) looked on in shock as they tried to navigate AROUND the puddles!!
Still, glad its gone for another year now! I moved here to get away from the English weather not for it to follow me!!

I have to say I like it - the six months from April with no chance of rain gets a bit tedious and there's nothing like sitting out and watching a huge electrical storm to put you in your place.
I took much delight in finding some deep puddles in the jeep yesterday as it's good old fashioned fun and it is usually so difficult to get the mud splattered off roader look here!

Knew i should have kept my mouth shut and not jinxed Bahrain, since i posted yesturday its done nothing but rain on and off, stupid wind and its cold!! Ive got the opener of what some would say a fairly big single seater motor race to watch next weekend and im hoping to wear flip flops to it not wellies!!
